Yes. NECO SSCE results are accepted alongside WAEC by Nigerian federal, state and private universities, polytechnics and colleges of education. JAMB allows you to upload either set of grades, or a combination from both bodies. Some foreign universities still ask candidates to lean on WAEC, but NECO is generally accepted for admission inside Nigeria.

A NECO result-checker token usually unlocks five result checks on results.neco.gov.ng. The count includes every successful load of the result page, so opening the same result on a different device burns another use. Confirm the current limit on the portal before buying, because NECO has adjusted this over the years.

A WAEC PIN traditionally came on a physical scratch card, though it is now also sold online. NECO has moved fully to digital tokens delivered as a number on the portal or by SMS after payment. Functionally both allow a fixed number of result checks, but you cannot buy a NECO token from a physical card vendor.

NECO has run SMS-based checking in the past, but the main official channel is results.neco.gov.ng. SMS shortcodes change between diets and are sometimes withdrawn. Treat the portal as the source of truth, and only follow an SMS code if it is announced on the official NECO website or social channels.

Yes. JAMB allows you to upload O-level results from two sittings, and these can be a combination of WAEC and NECO. Most Nigerian universities accept this combination directly. Always confirm with the specific department, because a few competitive courses (medicine, law, engineering) sometimes restrict to one sitting from one board.

Visit the NECO zonal office that covers the state where you wrote the exam, with a sworn affidavit, your statement of result and a written application. NECO issues replacement certificates after a verification of the original record. Expect a multi-week turnaround and a re-issuance fee, which the office confirms on arrival.
